Schedule: The Homework Club runs Monday to Thursday from 4:00 – 5:30 pm

Activities consist of play time, cooking, games and arts & crafts and fun. This program is offered twice a week for children 10-13 years old. This group often lost in between children and youth programs. Tweens are active volunteers and helpers of the after4 program. They gain skills and volunteer opportunities in this program.

This is sports and recreation program for boys ages 6-12 years of age, runs once a week during the school year. It provides an opportunity for the children to get to know their community, build on their leadership and team work skills while promoting physical fitness.

Sports and recreation program for youth 13+, runs twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The youth enjoy a variety of activities ranging from basketball, soccer and general physical fitness opportunities.

United Sisters is an early intervention program for girls aged 10 to 15 jointly provided by Pinecrest Queensway Community Health Centre and Britannia Woods.  The overall goal of the program is to provide opportunities for young girls to develop the skills to be confident, independent, and active members of their communities. Attendees take part in a wide range of fun activities, including:

  • Arts and Crafts Games
  • Cooking
  • Workshops
  • Special Outings

Activities change from week to week to keep things fresh and exciting, and it’s a great way to make friends and share amazing experiences. Girls interested in giving United Sisters a look can come to any session, and there’s no registration or commitment required.

The focus of the Children & Youth Programs is to make sure children and youth have the resources and support they need to succeed. BWCH`s goals are to provide children and youth living in the Britannia Woods community opportunities to foster healthy social, emotional, creative and educational growth. The Community House staff work closely with youth, parents and community agencies.
